Talofa Aunty Mei, Becky, Rachael, Andrew ma le aiga atoa.
We express our sincere condolances to you all in the passing on of our dear and beloved Uncle Barry. He was an inspiration to us all, and we will really miss him. However, we are secure in knowing that he has gone to be with the Lord and that we will see him again. We cannot fully express our deep sadness in Uncle Barry leaving us, and will share mourning with you in your time of sorrow. However, we know that Uncle Barry would have wanted us to be joyous throughout this occassion because it is a testament to God's svaing grace.
Like many people, we have learned through Uncle Barry's teaching and godly example, to become Christ-like, knowing that God and people are better than things. Furthermore, his personal relationship with the Lord and how he treated people has sealed him a one of the greatest preachers of our time. We thank our Lord for Barry Smith. We also thank our Lord for you all, his family.
Our prayers are continually with you all, knowing that God's greater plan for us is a good thing. It is through God's inspiration that we can attain to that greater place of joy in His Spirit.
Ia fa'amanuia le Atua ia te outou uma.
Soifua

I attend Springwood Christian Church, Springwood, Logan City, Queensland, Australia.
The Senior Pastor is Pastor Jim Williams.
Pastor Jim told us about Pastor Barry's going to be with the Lord, at last Friday night's meeting.
I understand that Pastor Jim was a personal friend of Pastor Barry.
He also told the congregation this morning.
After the initial shock there was applause for Barry's grand entrance into Glory with the Lord.
Probably some of us felt envious.
We then prayed for the Lord's peace to be with you and your family, as undoubtedly He is with you, and will always be with you.
I want to say that I love you and will pray for whatever needs that you have at this time.
God bless you all.

Dear May,
I am sending this for Greg,as his computer is on the blink right now...he faxed it to me.
Ray
He writes...
Dear May and family,
My wife, children and family send our deepest sympathy on the passing of Barry.
What sadness for you all,yet great excitement for him,as he gets that longed for hug from the Lord Jesus, and gets together again with Debbie and other family members and friends,in Paradise.
I guess,on reflecting on this great Man of God,who has so blessed our family, and countless others,I sort of expected that Barry Smith would lead the Rapture for us all! I can even imagine him standing on a chair,to gain height over the crowd, and cupping his hands around his mouth, and yelling..."OK everybody, are you watching please..we are in the cloud now,and will soon be meeting our Lord and King Jesus,...so please line up,and no pushing.Thank You!"
I can also see him sitting down with the Lord, and asking to be kept up to date with the world events,as they unfold!
God bless you,Barry,May and family, for all you have sacrified for us.I feel the Lord is pleased with all you have achieved.
I will miss you,Barry.
Love,
Greg Harrison.

Dear May, Andrew and Family;
Upon arriving home from work in the very early hours of the morning, as I sometimes do, I switched on the computer to view any e-mail that any have arrived for the day.
As I have The Omega Times website as my home page, and as it is my habit to go to the Internet and thereafter to view e-mail from the home page, as the page formatted, I just could not believe what I was seeing.
Barry Smith gone to be with the Lord.
I cried, not out of sadness but joy, knowing He has gone to a much finer place, and we would all meet up again soon.
The setting is a place called Paradise, and in my minds eye, with a look of blissful happiness on His face, I have a vision of a young Barry, dressed all in white, similarly dressed, He is surrounded by thousands of other Christians who have gone before him.
They are in a type of field, there’s green grass and trees all around, shining with a brilliant light, exhorting pure love, goodness and mercy, before them stands the Master, The Lord Jesus Christ. All are praising and worshiping, singing Halleluiahs, in voices as Angels, glad to be home.
You personally and the rest of the family may rejoice in the fact that Barry is now with the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the fact, that we’ll all meet him again soon.
The trumpet will soon sound, & the dead in CHRIST will rise first,” well done Barry", then we who are alive will be caught up "together", so shall we ever be with The Lord.
Barry had a great sense of humor, was a great and lovely man of God, with a beautiful spirit – always remaining sincere and incorruptible by materialism throughout his lifetime’s work of Ministry. He was, and always will be, much loved and respected.
Although I only went to two of his meetings, and never spoke to him personally, I considered him to be a special friend, whose memory I shall treasure always.
He has left us all a great legacy, via his books, videocassettes and newspapers, all of which I value, as being amongst my greatest assets, and as just as long as I draw breath, I shall never ever part with.
“Well done good and faithful servant.”
Our deepest sympathies and earnest condolences to the entire Smith family on his sad parting
Robert, Cheryl and Family

Dear May & all the Smith Family
Our love goes out to you all at the loss of a wonderful man, but rejoice that he is now with his Lord.
So many wonderful memories of the great times we had with him - especially in the early days at Oakridge.Although our paths didn't cross so much latterly we were always able to pick up the threads of friendship immediately.
Truly a man greatly used by God - only Eternity will reveal the full extent of his Evagelistic ministry - can just imagine Barrys amazement at the number of Saints that he has met in Heaven who are there because of his tireless ministry!
He will be greatly missed but leaves a wonderful legacy in his outstanding family.
May you know Gods love & peace & comfort as you mourn - for "Blessed are they who mourn for they shall be comforted"
Merv, Liz, Matthew, Jeremy & Emma with much love.

We first heard Barry at 'He Lives' in Brisbane in the early 80s. He was always prepared to explain and give you his time.
With everyone else, we valued and enjoyed Barry's ministry - he will be missed very dearly.
To May and family, we grieve with you but also rejoice that he is now with our Lord.
God bless you all.

Dear Smith family,
We love and appreciate you all. Barry's passing will leave a gap, but the legacy he has left lives on. We pray that the surrendered life that Barry lived will light the way for many hundreds of preachers to get on and preach, thus helping to fulfill the great commission and help to fill the gap.

Barry's life reminds of Hebrews 13:7 which says;
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
My condolences and sympathy to his family.

Dear May and Family,
A few years ago while travelling with a friend in the car and playing one of Barry tapes, I became convinced that Gods word was real for today, and was amazed how scripture spoke of things happening now. This lead me to a decision for Christ. I got to see Barry as often as possible when he came to Australia (Brisbane), and loved his teachings on the family and end time events.
My heart burns with sadness with the loss of this great man of God. He has faithfully plowed the soil as you all have for many years... the greatest harvest is yet to come through your ministry and your faithfulness as a family.
Thanks Lord for Barry, Thanks for the sacrifices made by Barrys family.. Bless them Lord I pray.
Your Brother in Chris

To May and family. Barry never knew us personally yet we feel we knew him well, we have all Barrys books and alot of his tapes. Our Chrildren have grown up hearing Barrys teaching. there were times that my husband or I would do somthing wrong and we would say I'm gona tell Barry on you. So much of our building blocks for our marriage and raising our children have come from Barry, and May too. Barry taught us to fear the Lord and to WAKE UP. Our two older girls at the ages of 7 and 9 made a public declaration of their committment to the Lord at one of Barrys talks in Porirua several years ago.
We share in your loss and joy with Barry having gone home before us, it herts alot, we love him,
his determination to tell the 'truth'. Thank you Andrew for your statement and bless you May and family, you's have bless us more than we could express, may the Lord Bless the Smith Family for all you have done, are doing and all the sacrafices you have made to free Barry into Gods ministry. We love you heaps. I pray that God will give the BATTON to the next person and keep the truth exposed.

To the Smith family
You are in our thoughts and our prayers.
The first time my two boys and I heard Barry it was through tapes a friend had given to us.
We sat for hours not really wanting the tapes to come to an end.
We feel like that about his life. We were just hanging on to his every word. What an inspiration to us. We know things now we would never have thought of before. How we thank God for his faithfullness.
Our love to all of you
