Just last Saturday, we were sharing a coffee with friends, and we were excitedly discussing Barry's upcoming visit to Australia, but disappointed that he wasn't coming to Melbourne, where we all live. We all agreed to order the videos and enjoy them together. Alan and I were saved on The Sunshine Coast, and Barry was the first "visiting speaker" we ever saw at our church (COC Nambour). We had never heard of end times either, so it was quite a mind blowing message we heard during that week!!! After 19 years as Christians, it's Barry's message that we still remember, and quote to friends, particularly in the church, where end times doesn't seem to be heard any more. Thank you Barry for the rich spiritual deposit that we received from you, and may there be many harvests around the world from what you have planted. Our blessings to the Smith family.

To the Smith Family,
I first heard Pastor Barry shortly after I became a Christian in 1985, and have always been so very blessed not only with his teaching, but the person he was. Of course I did not know him, but I could see that he was a man of great love and integrity. I just knew that he would be exactly the same away in his every day life as he was at the pulpit.
I recently heard a wonderful song by Vince Gill that I have been singing over and over in my head since I heard of Ps Barry's homecoming. The words of the chorus are:
Go rest high on that mountain,
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
May God's great peace, comfort and love be your strength...he is resting in the bosum of Jesus
Much love and gratitude to you all

I will never forget Barry Smith. He came to Cardiff City Temple two years ago for three nights. It was a veritable feast and I was so impressed I bought all his tapes.
His faith shone through his preaching. I thank God for his word on the Mason's and my husband was involved in it. He came back to the Lord months before dying so I know that he is "safe" but the legacy he left was pretty devastating.
Barry's trip was just months after this and he encouraged me and my family in such a wonderful. Way.
He spoke of an occasion when he was driving with his family. They nearly had a very serious accident which could have resulted in the death of them all. Barry said he closed his eyes and said "Here we come Jesus". It is now a saying in our family when any little "blip" happens in our cars.
He is now with the Lord whom he so faithfully served but he leaves a tremendous hole in the Christian world. A unique man and a priviledge to have heard him in these last days.
Bless you as a family I know your miss will be great but OH! the joy when we all meet on that beautiful shore.

Barry was much more than a friend to us.
Some years ago while ministering in Portland Victoria he assisted in a way even he was unaware of that had profound implications into the future.
I had the good fortune to exchange information and thoughts with Barry on many occasions. He was a man of grace, foresight, great humour and had more capacity for humility and love than any one else I ever knew.
Although we will miss him tremendously we do not grieve as those that have no hope as we know we will see him again in the world to come.
With very best wishes and our prayer support

A good tree that produced lots of good fruit!Through brother Barry and your family's ministry the Holy Spirit has inspired us and fanned the fire in our hearts. Some of us recently travelled to Miles (QLD) to hear brother Barry teach. It was a joy to hear and see such a master craftsman, fisher-of-men at work.
Love and prayers to May, your value is far above rubbies.
Blessing to you all from all the saints at Christian Outreach Centre,

Barry Smith was a great endtime prophet whose contribution to Christian teaching and thought will prove invaluable in the next few years as we enter a critical period in time. Barry was a "watchmen" continuously reminding us to be aware of the "hidden" meanings behind what has gone on around us over the years.
The legacy of his work can sometimes cause great concern over the future of mankind but it can also bring great hope that there is a "way" that is better than what the world has to offer.
May God bless and keep his wife and family as they mourn his passing. I am greatful to have lived in the sam era as such a great man of God.

Love to Mae and all of your family. Jill and I travelled to Israel with Barry and Mae in 1995. On that tour the primeminister of the country was assasinated. It could have been a very tense time for everyone but Barry and Mae kept us encouraged and inspired the whole time. Barry Smith was a unique man. A great sense of humour, obedient and committed to his work. We shall miss him.We thank God for his ministry to us which we will never forget.

I would like to celebrate the life of my brother Barry Smith. He influenced me greatly as a man of God through his books and ministry. To the family I say “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

I have read a few of Barry's books and was captivated by what they said, I never managed to see Barry speak in person but have heard much about him from friends who have. I do pray that God raises up someone to continue on the vital work that Barry did. I send my condolencies to all the family at this time

Dear Mrs Smith & Family,
I would have been sad when I heard the news that Barry Smith went to be with the Lord, but I was not. I remember your ministry to us at the Nairobi Pentecostal Church in Kenya, and especially the picture of Jesus welcoming one of His servants home. I could not help but imagine Barry being welcomed home, in heaven, after a job well done on earth.
I pray that the God of all comfort be by your side during this time.

Dear Mrs Smith and family,
I was very saddened to hear of your loss, but rejoice with you that your precious husband and father has gone to be with Jesus. I first heard Barry in 1998 and I was very blessed by the ministry and purchased the whole taped series. His ministry was a great blessing to so many people and to myself as well.
May the Lord give you His perfect peace and comfort in this time as you mourn Barrys passing.
God bless
All my love
Cherie

dear may, andrew and family
our heartfelt condolences to you on losing barry on thursday
what a sold out inspiration he was
i remember the time i spent with you almost ten years ago and having the need to travel alone with barry to nelson
i had the opportunity to hear some really inspiring stories from the many trips around the world and get some insight into the heart of this wonderful warrior for jesus
whilst in nelson we stopped to buy an icecream and on the way back to the car we had a brief converstaion with a really rough looking guy who let fly with all sorts of filthy language
i remember barry kindly turning to him and saying "well i don't think things are quite that bad that we have to use that sort of language"
the look on the guy's face was priceless
barry struck me as one who just didn't have any time for the opinions of men about him
he had a job to do and just got on with it and if anyone made a move which gave him opportunity to speak about eternity he took it with both hands
truly a great soldier for the cause of the gospel he will be greatly missed
much love

Barrys books were on the whole quite accurate , as anyone with a knowlege of world affairs can tell you . I hope you all work to keep this ministry going in the best traditions that Jesus has bestowed upon you by your father/Husbands ability to follow His footsteps.
Regards;
