Dearly beloved Smith family

In brokeness of love for my Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, I lifted you before my Lord and King.
Oh how truly loved you are of Jesus, for at the mention of your names, and in the twinkling of an eye, Jesus caught me up to Heaven
'There in Glory He showed me a tree'
A monument in Heaven
The tree where Barry, greatly loved of the Trinity received his call
'Thank you Lord for gifting us with such a
Tree of Righteousness'
How wonderful to know Barry fulfilled his call and is now receiving his great reward
JESUS HIMSELF!

Sweep over my soul
Sweep over my soul
Sweet Spirit sweep over my soul
My Rest is complete
As I sit at your feet
Sweet Spirit, sweep over my soul

Love you in Jesus
Hallelujah

To May & family,

For about 25 years I went to every meeting Barry took when he came to town consequently I bought lots of his books tapes & videos.
Whenever our family went on holiday we would put Barrys tapes on & it seemed we were at our destination in no time.
Sometimes when I was on my own preparing a meal I would listen to Barrys tapes and wouldn't feel lonely anymore and I would feel encouraged.
My husband Tony went forward at one of Barrys meetings about 15 years ago and has never looked back.
Barry was an inspiration to me, he always was the same. I observed him over the 25 years and always felt he was a wonderful example.

Love

What a privelage it was to hear the Word of God preached in Winsford UK by Barry. It is both with sadness and joy that i write to you; to say thank you for your families obvious dedication to serve the body of Christ. In just four days I realised what a fun man Barry Smith was and that his Godliness shone out of his enjoyment of people and life. He has imparted something special in Winsford and we thank God that he used his servant to unite the churches hear. We met last night to thank God for the wonderful week we had seeing the word of God change lives. I know Barry enjoyed his time with us, and I hope that what God showed us through him will produce great fruit. God bless you all we are praying for you.

I was shocked to learn of Barry's death. I never had the chance to go and hear him when he was in the U.K. However I have seen him on video, read one of his books and listened to some of his audios. My impression was that he was a warm prerson, very humourous, while at the same time having a boldness preaching the Gospel and his love for the Lord was evident. What I liked about him was that he was not afraid to say things as they were, he was uncompromising with a passion for the truth, which is sadly rare in much of the luke warm church today. I'm sure the Lord had a glorious reception awaiting Barry on his arrival into heaven. I would like to meet him up there one day. My condolences go out to his family during their time of bereavement. May the Lord comfort them in the fact that they will meet up with him again one day.

To May & Family,
We were sad to hear about Barry passing on but it is encouraging to know that he has gone to be with his Lord.
We are thankful for the times that he has ministered to us down in the deep South both in FGBMFI and in local churches.
Please accept our condolences and those of the FGBMFI Otago/Southland region.

Dear May and family

We were very saddened to hear of Barry's passing.
Barry was a wonderful servant of God and I (Judy) have many happy memories of my tour with you to Israel 1992. We are so thankful we went to the three night meetings in Buderim in May and catching up with Barry personally, also we missed not seeing you May due to your knee. Don came to know the Lord through Barry's videos.

May the Lord bless you and comfort you at this time. May you be at peace knowing that Barry has gone to be with Jesus.

Love from

We are sorry to hear about Barry Smith's death.
We first met Barry Smith when he came to London to minister. I was particularly won over by his knowledge and clarity in presenting the gospel of our Lord Jesus. He will be sorely missed. He always came across as a nice sincere 'granddad'
Our condolences are with the family. My prayer is that God's work done through him will never die. What he has done already in people life will stand for time and eternity.

Barry Smith, a loving, caring, man of God who, on the few occasions I saw him, always took the time to say "Hello Rosita". Amidst the multitudes of people Barry would meet, it always amazed me that he would remembered my name amongst the crowds. To me, that was the man Barry was.
Meeting Barry, Mae and the family through the Beacham family, years ago was a significant moment in my life that is remembered. The love, care and godliness that radiated through Barry and Mae has always been an example to follow. My love and prayers are with you all. Rosita and family.

I am sorry and sad to hear of Barrys death. What a great christian man spreading the true message of salvation in Jesus alone and exposing the works of the enemy. The fear of God is the start of wisdom and Barry preached the fear of God to a very confused generation, helping us to understand what is realy going on in the world. I pray for all his family and brothers and sisters in Christ, that they will be comforted by our heavenly Father. Thank you Jesus for giving the world a 'Speaker' who has helped me and many others and is now with you in Heaven.

May and family - thank you so much for sharing Barry with the whole Body of Christ.

Isn't it amazing that we don't count on people going to be with the Lord - we think they will be with us forever!

We didn't have much personal contact with Barry - but we feel we know him through his books, videos and through our mutual friends, Reg and Marie Highsted. We have used many of Barry's famous "sayings" in our own family!

Thank you again - and our love and prayers are with you as you come to terms with Barry's promotion to glory.

WHAT A GUY
We've not met a more honest man in ministry.
Straightforward, down-to-earth, sincere in and out of the pulpit. Wnenever he discovered he'd got it wrong (as seldom was the case) he openly and humbly apologised publically.

I liked him.

Barry was a delightful person to be with, whether ministering with him as was my privilege in days gone by at Oak Ridge, (Paparoa, NZ), or repairing
his car. He also spoke with his eyes, always with a bright remark mixed with a suitable measure of humour, and a look to match which somehow reached the depth of one's heart.

DEAR MAY & FAMILY

Our sincere sympathy at this time in your lives when you are facing a 'chapter change' of high proportions.

We appreciate the way you have supported Barry throughout his days of ministry, and freed him to inspire and help so many people to come to a clear understanding of biblical importance and to find a close relationship with Jesus as Saviour.

Our Love to you from Algies Bay,

Howard and Maureen

Dear May and family,

Just a note to say we are thinking of you all at this time and praying that God and his word will be your source of comfort, at this tiem of loss.

It is awesomwe to work in samoa knowing that so many women and men of God have gone before and we reap the many prayers and tears that they sowed for the nation of Samoa. We are always grateful and challenged by Barry's ministry and testimony, personally as a palagi living in Samoa he has always be someone I looked up to, in his ability to love all people.

We are sorry that we cannot be present to share Barrys farewell with you, may you be strengthened in your spirit as you come together with freinds and family to "celebrate his life." Just as he lived life to the full here on earth.

Isaia is presently overseas and will be in Perth with a team of young people when the service will
take place. But our hearts and prayers will be with you and all the family.

Love always

Dear May,

We were touched to hear of Barry's recent death.

We felt sad for you May, having to travel home from England without him and we have been keeping you in our prayers.

I first met Barry in 1980 when he came to our fellowship. He used to talk about credit cards a lot in those days and so I disposed of mine and have not had one since, even to this day.

I married in 1986, and over the years, we have attended a number of meetings around New Zealand where Barry spoke and we have given quite a few of his books to other people to read. We have a copy of most of the videos that he made.

We have been receiving the Omega Times for a few years now and we always looked first to see if he would be speaking in or near our home.

Our son and daughter enjoy watching Barry's videos and even though they are aged 9 and 11, they frequently laugh at the things that Barry said.

We know that Barry will be greatly missed by many, many people. His work is now over. We have all heard the message and we do not have any excuse for not receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

We pray that the Lord will help you through this difficult time May, and we also send our condolences to the rest of your family.

Kind regards from
the Riddle family
