Dear May and Family
The darkness of our sadness is only made lighter by the wonderful memories we have of times spent in Barry's presence. I do forgive him for how he told my jokes as he preceded me in our travels, and then rehearsed the audiences to clap their hands and shout, "We heard it,we heard it".
What a man of God !. His promotion is wonderful, but sadly deprives the church on earth of a great evangelist. Our love and thoughts are with you all at this time.
Tom and Aileen.

Our thoughts are with you all at this time. Barry uplifted, strengthened and taught us through his books, tapes, newspaper and meetings in such an inimitable way. We will miss him hugely, although we met him only once he was like one of our family. We pray for The Lord's strength to be with you, now and always.

To May and Smith Family,
We extend our deepest condolences to you and the kids. Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you go through a time of very mixed "emotions". A sad feeling as a great Warrior of the Lord has been taken, however we shall remember him for the work that he has done for the kingdom of God and we know he has gone to be with our Lord Jesus.

I will always be grateful to Barry for making the message of the gospel a reality for me. 10 years ago I like many others heard the true gospel of Jesus Christ and gave my life to him there and then. While most other leaders seemed crazy, Barry made sense of it all to me, with his sense of humour and his humbleness, he was a real man of God living a sacrificed life that should be an example and encouragement to us all.
I will miss Barry and our condolences go out to his family whom we feel we know due to his wonderful stories he told about them in his teachings.
We look forward to seeing him soon.....
Love in Christ Jesus our Saviour

To the entire Smith family & to all who love and have gained strength through the wonderful life & selfless work of our brother Barry Smith, there is only one thing that Barry would say now,
"Glory to God and bring on the rapture, but let us give the message of Jesus to all mankind first."
In November 1988 Barry & May did meetings in Whitebridge, New South Wales, Australia.
For four days we were blessed with their presence and enjoyed an amazing result in first time decisions for Christ,I can testify that lives were changed forever through your faithful ministry. Till this day when discussing end time events Barry Smith comes into our conversation regularly, we admire him greatly and give thanks to God and you his family for sharing him with the world. It was obvious that Barry gained immense enjoyment out of his ability to impart information in a way that impacted the listener & gave them an opportunity to have a change of heart towards Jesus, because the factual information he provided could not be denied.
Well our dear brother Barry is going to be so excited now having the opportunity to learn first hand in the presence of all the saints in Glory.
Your brother in Christ, Peter Langley

Dear May and Family,
What can can be said in words, for how grateful I and many friends are for the Ministry God gave Barry. I'm sure there are many believers who have felt a great Soldier and Nobleman in the faith, has left behind a strong legacy, We Praise God for all the years, he has remained faithful to your travels . I saw Barry last year in May in Birmingham, and haven't looked back since. The Teaching and Information parallel to the scriptures has opened many an eye to the truth that Jesus is coming soon! I have in the last year, taken a step forward in the Lord seeing that these times are important for all mankind to wake-up and get right with God. I evangelise with a new heart after being touched through Barry's ministry, whatever happens from now is in the Lord's Hands, Andrew I must say you are a great blessing to your family and people, May God keep you all at this time. You are in my prayers... Deuteronomy 33 v 27

I too feel a great loss [here on planet earth] regarding the Homecoming of Barry to be with his Lord & Saviour! The angels, however, will be rejoicing to have this saint arrive!
I travelled with Barry & May back in 1993 to the Holy Land, Greece & Turkey, the memories of which will stay with me until I join the saints in Glory! Barry's teaching was indeed SECOND TO NONE
My love & prayers go out today to dear May & the family.
Because of Him,
CHERYL.

Dear Mrs Smith & family,
I was deeply moved when I read of Barry's passing.
My husband,Christian has been receiving the Omega times for quite a while now. He is always so keen on what Barry had to say.
Barry is at peace now in the arms of Jesus. At least he won't have to partake in the end times. I think it's something we all look forward to, arriving in Gods Kingdom someday. Seeing the Lord face to face.
I'm only a new christian but I know that the end times are drawing very close now.
PEACE BE WITH YOU MRS SMITH & FAMILY. GOD BLESS!!

Dear May, Ann & I were so sad to hear about the loss of Barry today (5/7/2002). Our prayers are with you and your family at this time. We often think back to 1989 when we went with you two and Rachel & Johnnie to Israel etc. That was one of the most wonderful experiences of our lives.
Although we haven't seen very much of our dear friend since then, it's wonderful to have those memories. We are sure going to miss him. I hope Andrew will keep the Omega Times going??
May our Mighty God bless each one of you at this sad time. Love from Kel & Ann Raine, Tauranga.

Dear May and Family,
I wish you all God's comfort and strength at this time with the sad loss of Barry.
He was a wonderful preacher and a true inspiration. He really was a character with a great sense of humour. His books and preaching touched my life and I will never forget him.
I admired him very much for his faithfulness to Jesus, his perserverance and his absolute passion to reach the lost and speak the truth.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all
Kindest regards
Alexandra

Dear May and family,
We have just heard the news and would like to send you our deep sympathy and love.We know how hard it was for you both to keep touring when Barry's health was fragile.
Barry inspired me and got me working, so much so that I have written a book, just published, called EU; Final World Empire, about the End Times.I tell about Barry in it and I regret I had not yet mailed a copy to Barry.
Barry was a one-off and it was a privilege to know him and hear him speak. What a great salvation preacher, too -our son Daniel heard him some years ago in Portsmouth and couldn't wait to get his "passport."
Barry leaves a great legacy- but nothing like the one awaiting him in Heaven. Love from Alan and Pat Franklin.

Beloved Smith family and the staff of International Support Ministries,
We are deeply bereaved to learn of Barry’s passing away. He was an instrument of grace whom the Lord used to bring the message of His coming in a simple but profound way to our hearts. It was what made our hearts hunger and crave for more and more holiness and purity in our lives. It was also this messages that made us to seek more of God’s presence and power and also stimulated us to work in His vineyard. Eventually we ended up starting an underground ministry here in Saudi-Arabia and also to have corporate family prayers three times a day instead of two. Many of the teachings were conveyed to our fellowship here and they helped to edify and instruct many to righteousness. We feel deeply sad knowing that we wont see him for some time. Our only consolation is in the fact that the real Barry (Barry’s spirit) has actually just moved away or has been relocated to heaven and that we will see him again. Many a times we wish that we had the opportunity to meet him in person or join him on one of his trips to Israel but it so happens that it was a desire that the Lord saw fit to not fulfill because He planned for us to be instruments of greater glory by not meeting him in a way we do not know as yet but the knowledge of which we will attain, whether here on earth or in heaven.
We encourage you to carry on the un- compromised word, which Barry preached, with the double portion that Elisha received after Elijah had moved away in the whirlwind. God bless you and give you more of that grace so you can operate in a greater anointing than that of Barry. His legacy will always be remembered because of his bold but gracious stand for the Lord and for never compromising the truth but always encouraging believers to get ready and to meet their King.
With much love,
David, Ruby, Rudha, Jonathan, Joel Dias and Selvine Carvalho

To the Smith Family,
I'm so sad to lose a great man of God on earth but so happy for him to be home with Jesus. He had impacted my life tremendously by his preaching on world events and his no compromised teaching. Hallelujah to have a chance to know him though not personally but his teaching. I know one day I will meet him again in heaven. Will remember you all and Barry Smith especially on 11th July 2002.
May the peace of the Lord be with you all.
God bless,
Catherine
