DEAR FAMILY SMITH,
On behalf of my family and myself I would like to offer you our heartfelt condolances with your loss. For Uncle Barry it is gain but for you it is (temporary)loss! We know how it feels to lose a dear loved one but we also know how it feels when it is our Lord Jesus who takes them home!
We had the privilege of staying with your family back in January of 1994 when we came to pick up my brother JJ from bible camp. Your family welcomed us like family and it really gave us a taste of HOME, that is the HOME that Uncle Barry has gone to, to be with Jesus! The Lord moved us on to the Netherlands so we are sorry we can't be there for the memorial service. Your family has seen a lot of difficult times and I know from experience that when you live as close to the Lord as your family do you are always subject to very testing times. We pray that your family receive the comfort and strength of the Lord to see you through,to finish the race with the same success that we know Uncle Barry has!!!
Uncle Barry told me that he always liked to know the address of a mechanic in a country he was visiting so I'd like to give you our address in case any of your family are ever here and in need of a mechanic or just family to stay with if your ever in the neighbourhood!!
God Bless you and comfort you in Jesus' Name.

Dear Barry Smith's Family,

I am most grateful to Barry. It was through his book "Second Warning" that I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in 1990.

It was shortly afterwards that my wife, daughter and son were saved. I thought Barry was forever. He was an inspiration to all Christians and a fine man.

Our deep condolences and love to you all.

Dear May and the family.
Words connot express our shock and sadness upon hearing about the sudden loss of our dear, funny, and beautiful servant of the Lord, Barry.
It was through Barry's audio tapes that I first became aware of the "New World Order" that he taught about, and other relevant issues. I gave my heart to the Lord because of it.
I look back and feel so priviliged that not only did I make that trip in 1988 with you Barry Andrew and Saskia& Debbie, but I also had the pleasure of having you both to my house for dinner. These memories will be with me forever, thank you so much for coming and gracing my house with your presence.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time, the world won't be the same without Barry.

Dear Smith Family,
"When I Come Home To Heaven"...what an appropriate picture & verse to head up Barry's
obituary message. I have carried that card in my Bible for years.
We were shocked & saddened greatly by his passing. He was one of those people whom we thought would just be around forever...this world without Barry Smith in it doesn't seem quite right somehow.
We have been blessed & encouraged by his ministry
in which-ever form he presented it.
His fearless stand against the 'big issues' in the world helped put a balance into the negative media reports & events that we are subjected to daily. It also gave us confidence that God is God & we must always look to Him for the answers.
Barry's sense of humour was such a delight, a favourite comment when he asked "are you listening?" was the dragged out answer...Yes!!
What a heritage you, as a family, have been left...to love people above material things.
Above all else in this world....what is most important ??
It is people...it is people...it is people...
We trust that the love & comfort of God, your family & friends will be your strength in the months & years to come.

With sincere sympathy and God's richest blessings

I was just talking about Barry and May yesterday to my father-in-law. My family had the privilege of meeting them in Monterey, CA. Barry had a profound influence on my life, I went in to his seminar not knowing anything about the last days and through him my journey began. He total changed my life through his ministry. My daughter who was only about 7 or 8 at the time (she is 19 now) also attended the seminars with us and now she will call and tell me about things that she hears on the news relating to the end of time. My husband and I still to this day often laugh about some of Barry and Mays experiences that he talked about. I loved to listen to his tapes, I will never forget his wonderful voice.

May & Fanau Smith,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time of saying farewell to one of the greatest Heroes of the Gospel. It is hard to find words to describe such a unique, genuine & colorful person as Barry. He has blessed thousands across the globe espescially us Samoans whom Barry reckoned to be his own. Faafetai tele ma momoli atu le faamalo May i lau galuega mae'a ma le fanau. Your work & life with the "Palagi" has been a great example to us all & those you have ushered into the Kingdom.
Ia agalelei le Atua e faamafanafana ma faalototeleina oe ma le fanau i lenei taimi o le loi fofoga o le faavauvau.
Our love,
Richard & Lynette

I was shocked to hear of Barrys sudden passing. He certainly has earned his well earned rest.

I have been a great fan of his teaching, read many of his books, and attended many meetings. I am so grateful for the knowledge and insight he has passed on to me and many others through his revelations.

I pray the work of his ministry will continue as we move further toward the climax of Jesus second coming.

My condolences to May and the family. Barry was a fine example of a loving family man. God Bless you all.

Love Edith xx

Our prayers are with you all..........

Thanks for letting Barry minister the truth of the Gospel around the world. It was an honour to see three friends receive the Lord a few years ago at one of Barry's meetings in Leeds.

God bless you all as you continue faithfully with the Lord's ministry......Will & Caz (Sheffield)

I saw Barry last year in Birmingham after watching a few of his videos. I was truly shocked and deeply saddened when I logged onto the site for the Omega times the day of his passing, and learned of the news. However, he was a faithful and true servant to the end, so despite the sadness, we can also be happy, for he will now receive his reward.
My prayers for the family, and the continuance of the ministry that he started.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Barry Smith; I heard him once in London - and if I hadn't done so then, I would never have heard of the pacific islands of Fa' a' aa. I also vividly recall his no nonesense crusade in Edinburgh in 1994. What a faithful preacher he indeed was, and I am so full of thanks to our Lord for the rock-solid example he gave to all of us. Now for him to live is Christ, to die is gain; death is swallowed up in victory, HALLELUJAH!

I am forever grateful for the ministry of Barry Smith & am thankful that he inspired me in my own calling to serve the Lord. I pray God's blessing on the continuance of his ministry & for the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with his family at this time, in Jesus name, Amen

By now Barry has heard his Lord say to him, "Well done, good and faithfull servant," and received his homecoming hug from his beloved Jesus.

No doubt he'll be settling down to see exactly how things unfold in these last days, and the prayer in his heart will be that a great harvest will be reaped from the seed that he has sown to the glory of God.

Thank you for sharing your husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather with so many of us.

God bless you, and may His peace be with you.

Craig

I came to hear Barry in Portland, Oregon. He inspired me with his great love and passion for our Savior. I know he was met with "Welcome good and faithful servant." God bless his family with many wonderful memories. Shalom
