Dear Smith Family
Please accept our condolences on the passing on of Barry , but as we know it's only physical death not spiritual. Soon we shall meet him again.
He visited Dunedin a number of times and I became a Christian at one of his meetings in 1982. Have remained so and always will, having heard the gospel in a clear , frank, no nonsense way that was Barry's gifted style.
There are many others like me, converted at Barry's preaching, so annointed by the Holy Spirit. To God be the Glory for the things He has done.
Love and God bless
Margaret and Chris Pickles

Dear Smith family, My thoughts are with you at this time,i have only just found out about this site, and am glad to be able to leave this message, it was my privilidge to have met Barry several times, and to have even helped out at some meetings,i always found barry to be a wonderful teacher, giving out the most serious of messages yet with his own unique and very funny style. I have learned a lot from the ministry God gave him,and it was my pleasure to have known him and to have sat under his ministry, when i will think of Barry,i shall always think of a top man, someone whom i believe the Lord was glad to call him His servant! God Bless you Barry....enjoy your reward! Love in JESUS, David.

Dear Smith Family,
I just heard today about Barry's translation to a better place. Though we only knew him from his books and videos, Barry (and May, who always supported him and was very much a part of the videos) has become a special part of our lives - my son David and I often watch one of his tapes, and we have gained enormous benefit from them over the years. Would that every preacher had the zeal, the fire, the uncompromising forthrightness, the conviction, and the overwhelming JOY!!! that Barry always displayed for his Lord! What a world it would be!
Do you know that, if there were only 2 born-again Christians in the world today, and if every born-again Christian brought one more person to know the Lord every year - that it would take only about 30 years for every person on earth to become a Christian? Barry's ministry has borne a huge amount of fruit, which is the most wonderful testimony to all of us who remain to continue in the work of the Lord.
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel about his going, so yours must be so much greater.
However, we do not mourn as those who have no hope, and we look forward to meeting Barry - and all the rest of his family - some day soon.
Lorraine and David.

I would like to start by saying how sad we were at hearing of Barry’s passing, but what is our loss is heavens gain, Barry was a man with a definite mission in our world and I personally have spoken with people from all over the world that have heard Barry’s preaching either through his books or video's and through Barry’s message the world is now listening and watching, Barry was a blessing to us all and I have so much admiration for the man that gave people from all over the world a massive wake up call, we have all seen a lot of what Barry said come to pass and a lot that is yet to come to pass (VERY SOON)
I would like to say that our prayers and thoughts are with the Smith family, God bless you all with love from the Shenton family. ( Hertfordshire, England )

I have the videos tapes he made in 1988 as well as his book Final Notice. It has been incredible to see so much of what he revealed come to pass. He visited our church, Christ Community, in Alamogordo, New Mexico in 1988 and what a blessing! May God send His peace to the family and friends of a great servant of the Lord, Barry Smith.

Dear May and family,
This is the second time I have left a message on here, and I just wanted to say what a testament it is to your family the amount of messages of condolance left on this site.
It shows just how much this precious man of God touched so so many lives, not just in his native New Zealand, but all over the world, including here, in little Peterhead on the North East Coast of Scotland.
I do believe that his teachings and revelations will continue to impact lives throughout the globe, through his books and videos.
Wishing your family peace and joy as you continue your walk with the Master.
With love,
Scott Morrison

I have only seen one of Barrys videos last night made about 10 years ago and was blown away buy what he taught. I could not believe it when I found out that he had gone to be with our Lord.I am sure I that his teaching will continue to open the eyes of christians and non christians alike until the Lord returns. His teachings are more relevant with every day that goes by.
God Bless

I have bought all of Barry's Books over the years, even when I was a dyed in the wool Catholic. His teaching was instrumental in me leaving the Church of Rome. I thought his books were great, but he never did tell us was the 'factor of 7' was that Israel had. Oh well, I'll catch up with him in heaven. He certainly be sought after for many a chat by lots of people, especially all the people who have been saved through his obedience to Christ's command to preach to all men and to the impowering of the Holy Spirit.

I couldn't believe it when I read that Barry has gone to be with the Lord. I watched one of his videos last night which was made in May 1992 and was wondering what sort of message he would have for us today. I found two of his books in a 2nd hand bookshop this morning and couldn't wait to get home to read them. Before starting I thought I would get on the internet to see if I might find any information about Barry, but I found this site and learnt that he has left us and gone to his eternal home in heaven. I want to send my condolences to you. I look forwand to that glorious day when we will meet our loved ones again who have gone on before us, what a comfort to know, praise the Lord!

I was at first saddened to hear of your loss, but God has called his Messenger HOME.
A friend brought video tapes to our house to watch, and left them behind. At the time I was too busy to watch, but eventually God sat me down, first to read Revelation then watch Barry. For about a week all I could do was emerse myself with the Endtimes and Present time clues.
Now that my eyes have been opened I pray they are never Blinded again. Barry's words and warnings have reached me and I will do my best to pass on the Warnings from God!
I know first hand it is not always easy living with a Profit, but the experiance is well worth it.
God Bless

I am writing in honour of a man I never met, or had any close contact with, but in 1995 I was thrown three videos from a friend, who said to me "I haven't got time for these but you can watch them". By the time I had reached the end of the second one God was on my case, and I repeated the salvation prayer and was radically changed and have not been the same scince. I realise it has been nearly three months scince the day he went home, but it was only yesterday 15/09/2002 that I was saying that we don't realise the effect that our lives can have on someone else.
So this letter is from the depths of my heart in that I am so grateful that a man named Barry Smith was obedient and went out and preached. I also want to thankyou for the family you are that allowed him to fullfil his purpose here on this earth.God Bless You.
Your Brother in Christ

To Barry's Family
We offer our heartfelt condolences to you all at this very sad news of Barry's passing. We will always hold his memory close to our spirits because it was Barry's teaching that called us back to the Lord many years' ago. We are eternally indebted... thank you for selflessly sharing him with those who needed to hear his message.
As my wife has mentioned we were brought back to the Lord by Barry. What convinced me was when we were watching a video - I was thinking what about Hitler and the very next thing Barry said and even if Hitler had asked to be saved he would have been - I knew then that that this was from God. Thank you.
Bruce.
