I am much saddened by the news as we have a precious person, a brother who has given many people insight into Biblical Prophecies and world events.

Much loved, and enjoyed all his books.

However, the certainity of seeing brother Barry Smith again, brings joy and assurance that death is not the end. Death, oh death, where is your sting. We praise and thank our Lord for gift of eternal life that allows us to triumph over death.

You are dearly missed brother Barry but you are now with the Lord, seeing Him face to face. Oh, that is glory.

Thank you for being a channel of God's blessings.

I really can't believe it!It has really shocked me to learn of Barry's death(shall i say departure to the Lord). It has really shocked me because i actually went on internet today 4 April 2003 trying to check on Barry's (inspired) comments on the US - Iraqi war only to learn of his death.

Barry had become to us(me and my wife)a man we really respected because of his repute.Despite being mightily used of God in the prophetic ministry(which we followed very closely and proved themselves true)Barry did not acclaim the title of a Prophet. He humbled himself to just want to be called a brother in the Lord.Indeed no wonder why his favourite scripture was "..that Christ may increase and that i may decrease".

He lived by the word of God,did not minse his words on what the word of God says with regard to sin and righteousness. When ever he gave his "end time analogue" he never diverted from the core of the gospel which is the gospel of salvation. He always told people to repent and turn from their sins and receive Jesus Christ as their saviour.o wonder why we also called him an evangelist.

I had never seen Barry face to face but i saw him on videos and have read his books and will continue to read them because they inspire me and my wife.I have told people about his teachings and writings.

I also got encouraged even through his death when i learnt that 2 days before his departure he had told a friend that he will be going home to be with the father. It leaves us with out any shred of doubt as to where our dear brother, father in the Lord, prophet, pastor and evangelist has gone to.It also encourages us especially in our times of weakness that there is a home and that heaven is real and that we need to hang on until the last minute.I say so because today we have got so many leaders who do not live what they preach.when you look at their live sin times of trials and temptations you wolud almost think that heaven is fake and just a tale story, but that was not the case with Barry.Like a commander of the army he kept his banner high and kept marching foward. That gives strength to the followers and assurance that heaven is real and one day we shall enter it if we faint not.

To the smith family i would like to say my deepest condolence.May Your father and husband to Mrs Smith was a treasure in Kingdom of God.He was a vessel of honour. The treasure he left for you(that is only be found in Christ Jesus) no one can take it away from you except you give it away.Keep the faith that he left for you.One day you shall meet again.I also desire to meet him one day in the heavens and tell him how his work inspired me.

May the good Lord richly bless you and comfort you in your time of mourning. We stand with you in prayer.

Thank you,

King & Molly Manyonganise

What a shock and dissapointment to hear that Barry has died. Only for his family's and our sakes it is sad. But if ever a man that has lived and deseved to be with Jesus and receive a bountiful reward then it is Barry. I am very happy for him, and I can't begin to imagine how joyful and worshipful he must feel and be now.
Barry was and is very instrumental in my faith in jesus. There are many thousands more people out there that need a Barry type man to get them going and I'm sure that God will raise a new one up for the rest of them.
My sympathy and prayer to his family.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord

Dear Smith family.
I simply want to say how blessed I and so many others have been through the ministry of Barry.
My wife and I watched his video recently "After death what?" Although I know Barry is with the Lord I did shed a tear thinking just what the church has lost. He was/is a great guy and a very lovable cheeky brother.
I met him a few times when he came over to the U.K. and though I felt he simply couldn't remember every one he met he always had this knack of spotting me and others in the crowd and recognising us with a grin and a nod before the meeting began. In the early 90's I spoke with him after a meeting in Kent and he encouraged me to preach the second coming. As a result of his encouragement and the Lord's leading, I have now been travelling around the UK for the last 6 years and have recorded 15 videos on the end times. May the Lord Jesus bless you all as you continue the work. I'm sure he would be so very proud of you all. Every blessing. Bob Mitchell

It was our privalage to hear the teachings from Barry Smith. Our family has been blessed by hearing the clear sound of the gospel and how to bring up a family in the fear of the Lord. One of our friends had been praying for her husband to come to the Lord so Nicole took around some of Barry's video tapes. The fellows surname was Smith so he thought he might give the video a shot since the fellow on the video was also a Smith. As he was watching the video Barry said "I am talking to you Smiths, you know your wife has been praying for you for years, so get down on your knees right now...." This man did (now 10 years ago) and he loves the Lord today.

I was wondering how barry was doing with the crusade espcially now with the war on. I wanted to see if he had a web page up and running and found this site. I was so sad to hear that he has gone and left us but happy to know that he is now at peace with jesus. Barry brought me to the lord years ago and i am so gratefull. i love him so much and met him occasional when ever he was out here in melbourne australia. He has been a father figure for myself for so long and i can't help feeling a lost knowing that he has now passed on. i thank you and your family for the opportunity of meeting him and would love to be involved in his crusade if you are in melbourne. Barry has blessed so many around the world and i believe that we will see him soon again fulfilling god's kingdom as a saint.

Dear Smith-Family,

I remember Barry and i never forget - I was staying at canvastown with grant finch and his family, about 10 years ago, and i often came back. i remember the big wedding, andrew playing guitar while walking to the river for a baptise, the barbeques and the laughter, the fun and the talking about life and about god and I often tell people what happend there and to me, how wakamarina changed my life. barry and the smith family evangelism was a part of it, a part of my life and I guess barry could be at a place called home now .... love from germany, Johannes

I read most of Barrys books and believed them. He came across as a very humble and down to earth man of God.perhaps a bit like Wigglesworth earlier this century...He has gone home to be with our Saviour and we will all be going too...Bless you all!..........Paul your brother in Christ

Dear May and family,
I first saw Barry's videos when I was a new christian and they gave me such an understanding of christianity and the end times. I loved his end times banner and have a copy in my room. Many years later I had the priviledge of seeing Barry in action in Bournemouth, England, and even spoke to him! Wow!! He was such an inspiration and there are many, I am sure, that will try in some small way to walk as he did. It is our loss as a church family that Barry has gone but it is heaven's gain. One day we will all meet up together to be with our Lord forever.
God be with you all Trisha

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank you for Barry's life and all that You managed to achieve through it.
My heart is glad to know he rests now in Your loving arms for it was clear to all that knew him that that's where he longed to be.
Thank you Lord for allowing our paths to cross for I learned so much from him.
May You comfort his loyal family and may the work he began continue to go on - bringing glory to Your name.
AMEN

I first heard of Barry Smith while I was a student. I give God thanks that he has allowed us to have such an enlightened and wise brother who spoke with clarity and without fear, he was an example to us all. He spoke to release so many from the shackles that the enemy places on people. Such a blessed man, although we mourn, we must rejoice because he is now with the father after being a good and faithful servant.

Dear May, Andrew and Debbie,

I first saw Barry on video in 2000, that were kindly lent to me in Stourbridge, England. Having recently gone "online," i reached for my copy of Barry's book to see if i could contact him online.

I am stunned and saddened by your loss, he was a great man and a brilliant light in an ever darkening world. He truly deserves his place in heaven.

In deepest sympathy,

Chris

Having just recently been introduced to Barry's ministry I was deeply saddened to hear that Barry had gone home to be with the Lord. He was obviously a sincere man who wore his heart right out there on his sleeve. His love for Christ continually emanates through the tv screen right into my livingroom touching the hearts of all who watch him "speak". His enthusiasm and excitement for God's Word inflames my desire to get to know MY GOD more intimately. My only regret is that I did not discover his ministry sooner. Andrew! keep the legacy moving forward! Keep fixing our eyes on Jesus! TO LIVE IS CHRIST BUT TO DIE IS GAIN!!!
My prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Mrs. Smith family,
I was recently told of Barry's passing on. I couldn't believe it at first, because I really didn't want to. I have been to Barry's meetings at lot and have a lot of his tapes and videos, and I am at present listening to them over again. He was and still is such a blessing to the body of Christ, and his boldness and courage, as well as his sense of humour, has reached so many for God's Kingdom. I didn't know a thing about end times until I heard Barry teach, so I am thankful to God for giving us Barry Smith. I'm sure my dear sister has met up with him. She went to be with the Lord last September, and she so enjoyed his meetings. God bless you all.

DEAR SMITH FAMILY, I was very sad and also happy at the same time to hear of Barry's passing. Sad, that the world has lost such a dedicated man of the Lord, but happy that he is with the Lord. I was saved in 1995 as a result of Barrys videos. I truly believe that if it wasnt for him, I would still be lost.I had the great pleasure of meeting Barry in about 1997, at the Mackay christian family church, Australia. I got to meet him personally and I thank God for him. Regards, Lea Mcallan. 87 Apsley Way, ANDERGOVE, MACKAY. 4740.

Dear Smith Family,
I simply want to say how very sad I was to learn of the passing away of Barry Smith.
Since becoming a Christian in '91, I have watched and read his materials with great interest and thank God that he has done what others have not been able to do. He has shared with us the greatness of the God we serve - And shown/revealed (to those who chose to take heed or not) through scripture the things that will surely take place soon.
Barry's faithfulness to God, his determined & resilient spirit is refreshing and will live in the hearts of all those who have heard him speak.
I can honestly say that without Barry, I would have remained spiritually blind and oblivious to the ‘real’ things that are taking place right in front of my eyes…and in my lifetime. Thank you is too small a word to say what my heart feels.

Sent with Love and great gratitude…from your sister in Christ Jesus.

I became a Christian on the second Sunday of August, 1990, watching some of Barry's tapes at a freinds house. I am sad he has gone, but I know that one day I will say hello and have a chat with him. God bless you all, and I pray that all goes well and that God's presence will be even greater in your lives.
