Its such an interesting thing that, such a wonderful general in God's Kingdom was recalled home for rest after fighting an excellent fight of faith.
May God give the family of Revernd Smith courage and comfort whch only comes from God our Father Through our Lord Jesus Christ.
My thought was that we will together with him meet our Lord in the air at His second coming.
My prayers are with the family.

An friend visited our house yesterday, and we got around to talking about the work of Barry and she informed us that she wasn't sure, but she believed that Barry went home to the Lord. On checking we found out that this was so, and we offer our prayer of thanks for Barry. Many of us Australian Aborigines loved his straight talk, and were encouraged by him in our walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. Even in this late hour our thoughts and prayers are with you, May, the silent but strong and prayerful other half of Barry's ministry, and your family. "Then the trumpet shall sound...

Today I heard the news and I am stunned. The gift given to Barry Smith by our Father is something I'll never forget after all the times I have heard him witness. Praise God for giving us someone so wonderful to influence, teach and share his passion for Jesus with us.
Thank you and Amen.

To the Smith Family:
I gave my life to Jesus in 1993 after playing Religion for many years in my teens. The End time videos stired me to think serious about my life and the truth of Jesus coming back for his own
I am part of The Pottershouse Christian Fellowship and we belive in street evangelism and the need to be born again
We have churches all over the world and take seriously the call to whitness.
untill we are all caught up in the air to be with our Lord and God
My God continue to bless the Smith family as all of you have made us realize the call to get serious with our salvation, many more souls need to be led to Jesus

(This message is to all who knew Brother Barry, but is specifially addresses to the Smith family, and to all Brother Barry's friends and associates.)
I have just learnt about last year's passing away of Brother Barry. I had watched him teaching on video before hearing him in person during his visit to Nairobi (Kenya) in either 1993 or 1994, if I remember correctly. He was a joy to listen to, not only because his message was so captivating, but also because of his boyish and infectious enthusiasm for the prophetic aspects of the message of salvation about which he preached. On the closing night of his visit, I remember him taking the time to come to the overflow tent in which I sat, to greet the congregation there and thank them for faithfully attending the evening meetings, which always filled the Nairobi Pentecostal Church beyond capacity. As he left the overflow tent in his grey suit, I remember feeling such an appreciative love for that man.
I am glad his passing away is a cause for joy among all who share the faith he had, since 'For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain'. (Philippians 1:21, RSV) I did not know him personally, but I'm sure from his current lofty vantage point, he would exhort those of us still in this world to pursue perfect obedience with the little time we have left.
May God be blessed for sending such enthusiastic servants as Brother Barry into this world, to reach out to the overwhelming majority that are fast perishing!
Sincerely,
Iny Pupil

Mrs Barry Smith, my condolences.
My heart flutters at the thought of sitting here in Tumut NSW Australia at 2.16am on Christmas morning 2003, searching the WEB for 2 books that I read years ago, (1987) "Warning" & "Final Warning" and looking for more.
I was given these 2 books just after I was "Born Again" in the Papatoetoe Baptist Church in Auckland New Zealand. They had and still have a tremendous impact on my life and thoughts.
Well, 'gobsmacked' would be the only expression that would be an appropriate description in that I not only 'stumbled' upon this site, then to find out that this man (Paster Barry) through this small but memorable contact (books), has passed away, and then to read some of the most wonderful tributes said of him.
I got to know through these people and their thoughts, that he was married, had children. I found out your names, the fact that there were videos out of his Ministry and most importantly that he was loved.
I note this day and felt compelled to write to you just to share my thoughts. He was MORE impressive than I ever even knew. A sad loss.
I may be out of date by a long shot, but life would have been totally different for me without that small contact I received from those books.
I am richer for seeing them, and the World seems to be richer for them as well as many, many more things as well.
I know Christmas will not quite be the same without him, but I know he will be there with you all.
God Bless you this Christmas Mrs Barry Smith and to your family, as the Lord Blessed us with his presence.
Regards
Des

I saw Barry preaching only once, In Manchester, England and also heard a few tape recordings of his teaching, but I was blown away by his wisdom, passion and straight talking! I just want to say that he left a lasting impression on me and my walk with God, of which I am eternally grateful. I look forward to having a chat with him in heaven! God bless all the family and may your walk with God be as genuine and exciting as Barry's.
Love and regards, Brian Mackey.

My wife and I heard Barry only once, and that being in Kelowna,British Columbia,Canada.Needless to say we did not know Barry or his wife personally, but there was definitely a feeling of kinship with them through the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is with great regret that Barry has left us,and has gone to be with the Lord.He is far better off, but we which are alive and remain are going to miss him immeasurably.I have only one book by him{final notice} and wish to have all that he has written. God's work will certainly miss the humor and wisdom of this man of God who has gone on so early in life.Three score years and ten do not seem to be enough for the likes of him.
I want to express my sympathy to the family, even at this late point in time, however I just learned of this as I looked for your website. I pray that the work he did will continue to bear fruit until the Lord come.May God very richly bless May and the family and comfort them as only God can with this loss of the patriarch of the family.

Having read so many messages of condolences and the effect that the ministry of the late barry Smith has had on so many lives is just such a testimony of the power and awesomeness of our God.
So many lives such by such a faithful man of God. I first heard Barry Smith in the early 1990's and he was always such an example of man who was sold out for the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that the legacy he has left behind continues to touch many generations for the glory of God.
I also pray for the continued blessing of God upon his family who are also such an example of a family sold out for Jesus. God Bless you richly

I just learned this moment of Barry's passing, watching videos of his message was a major part of my salvation in 1990. I was thrilled to meet him and shake his hand a few years later. What a great man!

I have to thank the lord for Barry Smith's passion and faithfullness to the lord. I remember his messages he preached in London several years ago not long after I got saved. His words has had a lasting effect on my life. I too am begining a strong interest in "The End times". I'm not sure if it is a personal interest or this is something of the lord. I do know that if it had not been for Barry Smith and the work that he did so lovingly, I would not have had some-one I could admire as one who is passionate for the lord and passionate for Gods people. I pray that God's protection & love to continue to be with his family and that the message of salvation is kept alive!
God bless

i want to be straight to the point, my dad died when i was young, after i was born-again i wanted a father, i had my heavenly father of course, but i wanted one on earth too, so i took barry to be my spiritual father so to speak because if i could choose a father i would have choosen one like him.i only have to think of him and i smile, especially when i think of the funny story of helping someone get home in a car, he had to sit in the boot, wet and cold smelling of fish. i remember what he taught us to say after helping strangers, i did it in jesus name.
