thank GOD for barry smith if it was not for him i doubt i would be a christian today
i know you are with jesus but i still feel the loss of losing such a great man of GOD and i pray for the family left behind keep barrys work going

I will miss a great man of God and his message, being that we were one with the lord I feel I have lost a brother. I was unaware of his passing on until today, my prayers and love to you, his family. I am a former drug addict and satanist who was set free by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I remember a man by the name of Mel gave me a tape of Barry Smith at work in 1990. I laughed and tossed it aside. But months later, as my life was crumbling around me and I contemplated suicide, I put the tape in. Ill never forget how Gods spirit moved in my life and how a chain of events occured that led me to my Lord Jesus. I am so grateful for such a great man of God, and even more thankful for such a loving and forgiving Saviour. I had always hoped to meet Barry and thank him for his messages, but one day I will when I join him at our Fathers side. I ask for everyones prayers first for Barrys family, and secondly for me, that I can pick up the torch and use my testimony to bring others to Christ, and may Gods peace and love be with you all.

We were shocked to hear the news of Barry's passing. We loved this man. Who could listen to his word, and not be moved.
He spoke of his family all the time, during his minestry.
I think Barry has had a far more profound affect on the lives of Christians than any of us probably realise. I know this fate is waiting for us all, but it still comes as a blow.
Barry didn't just convert non-Christians to the faith, he also deepened the faith of those who already knew the Lord. Gods blessings with Barry and your family.

Barry's words of truth and comfort will continue to lead people to the Lord. Thanks to the Smith family for coming to Northern Ireland in November 1991. That's when Barry led me to the Lord. I pray God's blessings on you there in New Zealand. Soon we'll be together in Paradise praising our Lord Yeshua (Jesus) Lots of Love. James

FOR MANY YEARS i (MARIE) WAS FILLED WITH TOTAL FEAR CONCERNING THE END TIMES AND WOULD IN NO WAY WATCH ANY OF BARRY'S VIDEOS OR GO TO SEE HIM, THOUGH MY HUSBAND COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF HIM.AGAIN I THANK GOD AS NOW MY HUSBAND CAN TALK TO ME CONCERNING ANYTHING THAT BARRY TAUGHT OR PREACHED ON. Since the early 90's I have listened to Barry's teachings on videos & cassettes. The best part of his meetings was the way he preached the gospel and did the altar call.
He had a great impact on me and the Lord has led me to China and Brazil with the same gospel.
Thank you Barry. Your teaching/sharing opened my eyes to lots of things.

I heard Barry approxiamtely 6 months prior to his death in South Bend, Indiana and just heard of his passing. His message which occurred shortly after 911 opened my eyes to what is happening to the world around us. Although I was under the blood of the lamb at the time of his message, he started a chain reaction inside of me that has changed me even to this day. I am forever thankful to Barry for being the faithful servant that he was in allowing the Lord to work through him. My hope is that I can also share this message that the Lord gave him with everyone I come into contact with. Thank you brother Barry. May the Lord keep you in his arms!

This message is in response to Chris Brazendale's message posted on 11/3/04. It is people such as yourself who should have some backbone to confront people personally whilst they are alive and FACE to FACE. It is rather weak, and not to mention very cold and heartless to post your own brand of righteous judgement onto somoene's 'condolences' page. I think Barry Smith would not be short of answers for those who would challenge facts.
And not to mention, people who have the fight and dream and vision in them to carry out a message and live-out their passion they carry on a public platform are susceptible to public opinion. I don't doubt for a second that prominent people such as Barry Smith and others like him in the world have very thick skins. And to remind you, you are helping to heap up the treasures God has stored for him in heaven. Hardship in this world equals treasure and promotion in heaven.
How many people in this world actually materialise their dreams and passion and succeed?? How many live out their conviction to try and make the world a better place and/or help people?? Do you??
I won't reply to any future posts you may or may not send. This is a condolences messageboard. I saw it fit to reply to you once and for all so that uninformed people may not be swayed by an untimely, unsympathetic person.

Dear Smith family.
I was truly sad to hear that Mr Smith had gone to be with the Lord. Sad for you, my own and the worlds sake, that we have lost a true prophet. He was one of its kind, full of knowledge, humour and Gods love. He was indeed a Gods messenger. My husband and I met Mr Smith on several occasions in Sydney Australia, at RLC in Penshurst and Calvary Chapel in Greenacre to name a few places. We have now moved back to Sweden after 32 years in Australia. And one of the highlights during those 32 years in Austra-
lia, was when we got to meet and listen to Mr Smith. We are about to broadcast on Swedish television and later on, on Scandinavian television videotapes of Mr Smiths meetings.We have been tremendously blessed, and want to bless others the way we have been blessed. I am so sorry for your loss, but if it can be of any consolation, Mr Smith is in a much better place now. Maybe he even met up with our son Robert, who went to be with the Lord at the age of 17.

I watched the "warninig" video some years back and my spirit agreed with all he said.Infact those things are happening now.
He was truly "A MAN OF GOD" Not the types we have today.

I have only just found out (07/02/2004) that Barry has gone to be with Our Heavenly Father - I have been back slidden for a few years now, and watched his video's again the other day from 1988, I was playing them to some non-christians friends who are being called. I have always had an interest in revelation and Barry was the only man of God who could fill me in on some things I did not know or understand. But Our Heavenly Fathers timing is perfect - From death to LIFE, Barry we will all see you again soon brother.

Having only just learned the news I am saddened but thank heaven for this gifted man. I only ever saw one of Rev. Smith\'s videos but his wake-up call impressed me greatly - he drew much needed attention to the matter of NWO influence and Christian prophecy and did so with courage, wisdom and natural (but all-too uncommon) wit and good humour. If only other ministers and congregations would think half as much as Barry Smith.....
My sincere condolences and prayers to and for his family and friends.

I got to know Barry Smith via Nic Venter. Nic designed the first three books covers and helped get B. Smith here to SA in (I think) 1992. I was so shocked when looking for his book 1st Warning on the internet, to find out that Barry had died in 2002. Barry and May stayed at our house when he came to SA, my dad Rudi Holtzhausen hosted them. So I got to know him whilst they were staying there.
My dad died in a tragic accident 5 Feb 1995, so it's quite consoling to know that now they are praising God together and exhanging thoughts there in heaven. I am glad that the books are still "living" and with the "end times" concerning the implanted chip coming closer, we'll hold onto the things Barry has taught.
My sincere thoughts with May at her loss. I will be thinking of you every 27 June.

Bro.Barry smith was a great man of God. Recently I watched his video "After death what" along with my friends. we were fascinated and enjoyed his teachings. Today I thought of checking more details about him on the internet. But, I was shocked to see that he was passed away to be with christ Jesus. We strongly believe that he is now with Jesus.

my deepest sorrows to you for your loss, but greatest joy in that he has gone to be with our Lord! I am even now watching some videos a friend lent me that were filmed in August of 1997, I thought I would see if he had a web site to see what he has done of late, only to discover he has passed on. It is quite a shock, because even seeing him on these videos I just have an instant like and respect for this very funny, down to earth wise man of God.
I truly wish you all the utmost of blessings for now and the future ahead for you all.
May I ask; is anyone continueing in his footsteps in regards to his ministry,in keeping up to date and current, and informing others, or is this now the end for Barry Smith ministries continueing?

Receive my heart felt Commiseration, i was just seated in Hotel room in Iraq and i decided to check Barry Smith's teaching material (End time messages)in the web, hardly did i know he went to be with the lord. Well, i thank God for him because i know, we will meet again.
I attended his teaching sessions in Valley Road Pentecostal church in Nairobi Kenya, he was a real blessing to me and my wife Esther Mwiti. God bless Barry Smith's family.

I have just learned of Barry's passing. I send my condolences to you the family, but I do not feel an overwhelming sadness, because I do not believe that Barry would want that. He has gone to be with Jesus and that is the most marvoulous thing!
I was fortunate enough to see Barry around 1997 and I have recently finished reading all his 5 earliest books. The books are remarkable and a testament to the man. I am thankful for the work he put into the ministry. His books have helped me to see where we are in history in relation to the Bible.
It is great to see the Lord's work being done throughout the world, and I recently attended a Christian Conference named Planetshakers here in Australia. I am just blown away by the power of God and seeing what He is doing right here, right now is just phenominal. God is working on this Earth today. Seeing something like Planetshakers grow from 300 delegates 7 years ago to 9000 last year and 14 500 this year in 2004...seeing God move in the youth of this country, myself included, it's just so amazing. All of it, including Barry, is a stepping stone for God's will and His Glory.
Let us never forget our purpose on this Earth and let us continue to do God's will.
Thankyou Barry for what you did as a part of that process, and to the family, I encourage you to continue on and build on Barry's work.
