We heard the very sad news this morning when speaking with Christine at Inner Faith Travel.
Barry Smith: Sorely missed on earth -
Beautifully found with the Father
Who Art in heaven.
We pray that the Lord will fill the sense of loss that Barry's family and close friends must be feeling at this time. May He comfort them and give them peace and assurance that Barry has completed the race and is collecting his prize in person.

Barry expended his life for our Lord and touched and changed so many lives. I am sure that through his books and videos, Barry’s unique way of communicating and explaining the “hard and difficult” to understand parts of the Bible, will live on until the return of Jesus.
Barry had tremendous courage and together with his clear teaching and wonderful sense of humour, he convinced the die-hards of our age that no other evangelist could ever reach.
Barry will always be remembered with great love and admiration and a perfect example for us to follow.
I wish to thank his wife and family for sharing Barry with the world. May God Bless you with a special place in His Kingdom.
Love,
Howard

Sincere condolences to May, Andrew, Saskia and all the family for your loss of Barry. We were boyhood friends who had many a laugh and cry together. To reminisce, many a blessed hour playing together in our old OAC band, of which Barry was the lead guitar in company with Max Rassmussen, David Garratt, Ian Grant and our fearless leader, the late Evangelist - Noel Gibson.
I don't know of anyone who has been so passionate in their love for the Lord Jesus Christ as Barry or anyone whose life and ministry has touched such a broad cross-section of society with the Gospel through the unique slant God gave him on prophecy and exposition of the Word of Life to the common man. From airline pilots to truck drivers, Barry had the common touch to win them all. My love and condolences to the family and all who feel deeply the passing of a great Man of God. We shall all see you soon, but not yet. The glory of God must be manifest in the World before that great day!! Sincerely Warren

What a great man who showed real love
always had a good joke and made people laugh as well as think .
We still say and "now the family will come and sing "
Many many people owe their eternal destiny to Barry and his great committment to preaching the Gospel
he helped us get our first church started in Dunedin When we were just young and a small group of people .
Our prayers and love go out to May and the family at this time
Our family well have a very special place in our hearts for "Uncle Barry "

I have just heard this evening of the home call of Evangelist Barry Smith.
I was very blessed to have the opportunity to hear Barry minister on Prophecy, many years ago in Fleet, Hampshire UK, and I have read a few of Barry's books.
My thoughts and prayers are now for Barry's Family. I pray that the God of all comfort will comfort you and strengthen you at this time of great personal loss.
I also pray that the Lord will give vision and direction to the Ministry Team that remain, and I pray that you will continue to make available all the Ministry resouces that you possibly can.

We are very thankful for the ministry we received during the last week of Barry's life. He has certainly inspired us afresh to keep alert in these last days. His fatherly spirit touched all our hearts and we rejoice that he is now receiving his reward.
Our prayers are with his family whom he obviously loved so much, the Lord bless you with His wonderful grace at this sad time.
'When we've been there, 10,000 years, bright shining as the sun, there's no less days, to sing God's praise than when we first begun'.

We have been very blessed to have had Barry with us in Winsford for the last week of his life on earth, though we had never met him before after one night it was like we had known him for years. It was such a wonderful week and i would like to pass on to his family and friends that he spent his last days winning precious souls for Jesus. May God bless you richly, though this is a great loss, he has left here on earth through the word something that will last for ever.
love Iain and Maggie.

Barry,
Your teaching lead me back to the Lord about 8 years ago and Im walking closer to him now than I have ever been. Now you are in a place so brilliant, walking with the King of Kings and I can't wait untill I join you, but I've got work to do first.
I praise the Lord for the way he used you to reach me. See you soon and I'll join with you in singing your favourite hymn "Amazing Grace".

It was a great shock to learn of Barry's departure from here. Barry I really enjoyed your teaching and have used your examples many many times to preach to others. Even though you may no longer be with us those who have been saved through your work will remain till that wonderful day when we see you again.
I pray God's richest blessings and comfortings would be with the family at this time, and that they would know that Barry has gone to be with the one he loved so much, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I have learnt so much from Barry, and I am so saddened to hear of his death. Barry opened my eyes to what is really going on in the world, and led many people into the Kingdom of God where right now he is enjoying the Lord whom he truly served with all his heart and strength and completed the mission God had set out for him.
I thank God for him, and pray for his family and ministry.

Barry was a great man. I came to know the Lord through his teaching, and he had a great impact on my life and on my family. I was hoping to see him when he came to London.
He will be greatly missed, but thanks to his teaching I am assured that I will see him again.
Much love to the family.
