Dear May and Family
A truly great man! A man after God's heart and determined to share his love of the Father with everyone he could.
He reached us in Perth W. Australia and touched us with his books, encouraged us to launch out for our God and to expect Him to meet us where we are.
We loved the way that he never prolonged the alter-calls, saying:"It is a priviledge to come to Jesus!" He made no excuse for the gospel that he loved and made no apology for what he said about His Saviour.
We will miss him
God bless you.

Dear May and family
It has been our privilege to know you all and Barry for the past 25 years and you hold a very dear place in our hearts. We are so sorry to hear of Barry's passing but can picture him in heaven listening to the Lord give him the run down on what really is going to happen at the end!
we have been so blessed, along with countless others, by Barry's ministry and we know of no other evangelist where such a high proportion of those making decisions have gone on so well with the Lord. This is Barry's, and yours, true legacy, and we will all be the sadder without him.
Much love,
David and Jane Peters,
Auckland.

Dear May and all the Smith family
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Barry. He was a huge influence in our walk with Jesus when we were new christians and he visted Raceview Assemblies of God Church in about 1993. We have been subscribing to Omega Times since then and have sent articles to the office to confirm things that Barry "knew" about for years.
May the celebration of his life be a big one and may you all find comfort during this time.
Lots of love Neil & Tania

Dear Smith family;
My wife and I both responded to alter calls made by Barry, my wife in the U.K & mine here in N.Z . He struck us as being courageous, straight between the eyeballs, unyet humorous with it, and we both feel a sense of loss for this world.
I know he will have received a 'Well done good and faithful servant' .
Thankyou for your support of this great man's ministry and work.
His books and videos will win many more souls as yet, we feel for you missing him.
Steve

At the Northwich Women's Aglow meeting tonight, I was shocked to hear dear Barry Smith had gone to be with the Lord already, somehow I thought he would be here for the Rapture. But given the choice I know where I'd rather be sooner! On Saturday night my parents and I went to see Barry at Winsford Pentecostal Church. I thought he was preaching at his best ever (also we saw him 10 years ago at Wigan Pier). He was so funny, had us all laughing, and the love of Jesus was all over him. There, while he was preaching he said he liked us, he said we were friendly, like a family. I feel very priviledged and glad to have seen him on his last mission, and a lot of people went forward afterwards and gave their lives to the Lord. My Mum says "he preached for nearly three hours and it was fantastic". After the meeting I gave him a letter to give to Rebecca which I'd written some days before, and my Dad gave him a love (hug). At the end of the meeting he put up the picture of Jesus hugging someone and said "When I get to Heaven I don't want any reward just a hug like that". I am sure he is really enjoying himself, he could be chatting to Moses as I write or probably still getting his hug off Jesus, thats where I'd be!
His message was complete, he had completed his commission and it was a great one. He is an inspiration to us all. Barry has done his part. Now I know I need to do mine. I'll remember his phrase "Dirty Bible...Clean Christian....Clean Bible...Dirty Christian" to keep me in the Word! We are all thinking of you and praying for you. With all our love in Jesus, Anna, Janet and Lucio Socorro.
Ps: just opened my Bible (asked the Lord what to give)...Isaiah 61 the whole chapter really but this stands out "Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and EVERLASTING JOY WILL BE THEIRS". (verse 7)

We had only just this week been watching video recordings of a series of meeting with Barry Smith recently held in Sydney.
Barry was passionate about his Lord and about seeing the lost won to Jesus.
We loved his humorous style of preaching along with his sense of the urgency of winning souls.
We will greatly miss this wonderful man of God
who is now at rest in the presence of the Lord he loved and served so well for so many years.
I am sure he will hear those wonderful words from Jesus "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Dear May and family,
God doesn't waste anything and as in life Barry was an Evangelist so too as he has gone to glory will the ripples spread and bring forth everlasting fruit for the Kingdom of God. 'Well done good and faithful servant'
A vessel set apart for Gods glory.
Barry has written his name in the front of my Bible and when asked for a favourite scripture he has written, John 3 verse 30.......He must
increase, I must decrease.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and may God wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you with the wonderful knowledge of knowing Barry is with his Lord and Saviour. Love and hugs Yvonne Westerby, Palmerston North

I'm just another NZ (ex UK) Christian that has been influenced by the ministry and teachings of Barry. Last heard him a couple of years ago at my home Church P.E.C.C..
What now.... naturally pray for God's peace and comfort to the cloe family of loved ones BUT probably as important, if not more so; pray that God will raise up another prophetic evangelist. We need genuine down to earth preachers of the gospel with the urgency of the times explained in a relevant, interesting and convicting manner.
Well done Barry.... the fruit of your labours will continue to blossom and flourish for many many years.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have read Barrys books with great interest. They have and continue to be a real eye-opener.
I never got to meet him on earth, but I know I will do one day.
God bless

When I stand in glory,
I will see His face,
And there I'll serve my King forever,
In that holy place.

Dear May and Family,
Dayle and I and the family here in Invercargill are praying for you, standing with you, and are excited for Barry. "Unless a seed falls into the gronud.." and Barry has been, and will continue to be an amazing catalyst for harvest!
Barry's ministry here in the South has been spoken of for years, with much fruit.. indeed fruit in our own family and local church. What Barry has left is awesome.. but what he has gone to is beyond human discription. We will all rejoice together and with King Jesus in a moment of time.. not long now.

Our condolences and blessings to you. Barry's ministry will be greatly missed - his bold message of Jesus' soon return is needed now more than ever.
It was wonderful to experience his ministry, both through his writings and at his meetings - to God be the glory.
You must be a very proud family knowing how faithfully Barry served Jesus, and there must be great rejoicing in heaven over all the precious souls he won for Christ.

We send our sincere condolences in Christ to May
and to all the family in the Promotion to Glory
of one so near and dear. Barry is our dear brother in the Lord and real friend. He has given totally of himself for the cause of the eternal

The wonderful grace of God sustained, kept, and used Barry: So many people of different nationalities have come to know and serve the Coming Lord. The saints of God have been encouraged to persevere in discipleship. Truly, Barry has fought the good fight,he has finished the race, he has kept the faith, and has now entered fully into the joy of His Lord.
Our continuing love and prayers are with you.
